Illinois based Alternative Heavy Rock Band ALBORN has released the official music video for their single, “Let Me Bleed.” The single was produced by MORGAN ROSE of SEVENDUST and THE ATTIC in Geneseo, IL, while the video was filmed and edited by Philip Goode Cinema.
UK based, Southern Rock Band LONELY DAKOTA has released the official music video for “End of Days,” the title track off of their hotly anticipated, debut EP, due out June 28th.
The End of Days EP for us stitches together years of hard work and refinement, offering our fans the very best of each of us. A mix of riff laden hard rock tracks and emotional, thought provoking ballads. This isn’t just music to us, it’s our lives laid out for the world to see, at around 140bpm. If nothing else we hope that the message to the listener is clear, whatever it is you’re going through and whatever burden you carry, you’re not alone. We are with you.
Every sore-throat, snapped string and broken drumstick has led to this moment. Every dark thought, sleepless night and act of poor judgement has led to our story.
You will know us, and we will know you.
We are Lonely Dakota – VonDee, PJ, Tez, and Sepala.
Lonely Dakota was originally the brain child of Paul ‘PJ’ Jackson and started life as an Indie band on the Southampton and London circuits, receiving moderate success supporting acts like Lonely The Brave, but PJ’s passion and influence had always been for rock music…
In December 2015 PJ set to realize his vision of an LD infused with cutting and melodic lead guitar with mammoth power chords, thunderous bass, technical but driving drums and gritty vocals.
In January 2016 Luke ‘VonDee’ Varndell would meet Jackson and a rabble of other musicians in a damp ‘would be studio’ in the arse end of nowhere to audition for lead vocals. Having prepared lyrics beforehand the band quickly began to meld together, and fan favourite ‘Medication’ began to take form. VonDee had never fronted a band before, having previously been a solo acoustic act, and felt naked without his own guitar around his neck. However with the support and encouragement of Jackson his confidence, ability and range grew. In a moment that would have made Marty McFly proud, they had both found ‘that new sound’ they had been looking for.
In April 2016 Lonely Dakota would release their first single, ‘ “On The Rise.” Recorded at the Ranch Production House, it received local radio success and LD went on to play a string of shows supporting acts such as SOiL, Wilson, and Reigning Days. Later the same year they released their second single, “Low Life,” via Revolver Records, but continual changes to the line-up saw the momentum dwindle. Due to disagreements and other commitments, the band lost its rhythm section.
Not to be deterred, and wanting to preach their songs to the masses, Jackson and VonDee set about reconstructing and breathing new life into LD.
Terry ‘Tez’ Jenvey would join the band in the Summer of 2017 providing thunderous bass guitar and giving a new momentum to the band. In November 2018 LD returned to the Ranch Production House, with producer Kurt Fagan, to record their new Southern Rock ballad ‘Dead Stories’. This would go on to receive national airplay on Planet Rock’s ‘The New Rock Show’, with Wyatt Wendels.
LD once again began to gather traction on the local scene developing a loyal and growing fan base. In February 2019 Lonely Dakota would become fully formed into the Southern Rock Powerhouse it is today with the addition of Craig ‘The Machine’ Sepala on drums. Sepala’s years of drumming experience and technical playing has helped to push Jackson, VonDee, and Tez to play harder than ever before. Leading to live shows laden with ‘behind the head’ solo’s, chest pounding bass, raspy and haunting dual vocals and earth-shattering drums.
In April 2019 LD once again returned to The Ranch and recorded their debut, five track, EP. Featuring forth coming singles, “End of Days” and “Overdrive.”
DOPE Celebrates 20th Anniversary of debut album, ‘Felons & Revolutionaries’ with Worldwide Tour Alongside STATIC-X, DEVIL DRIVER, WEDNESDAY 13, RAVEN BLACK, & SOIL
Industrial Metal Lifers DOPE are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their debut album, Felons & Revolutionaries with the launching of a worldwide tour alongside STATIC-X. Kicking off June 18 in Tempe, Arizona, the tour winds throughout North America, Australia, the UK, Europe, and will also include Russia and The Ukraine.
“It’s crazy to think that it has been almost 20 years since Dope’s debut album Felons & Revolutionaries was released.
I’m so grateful for the foundation that the album laid for the band and I appreciate the affinity that so many of our fans have for its raw, unpolished production..”
Felons and Revolutionaries really put Dope on the map. It catapulted us from the streets of NYC to international awareness in such a short time. We toured constantly with bands like Slipknot, Mudvayne, Fear Factory, Powerman 5000, Statind, Sevendust, POD, Kid Rock, and of course Static-X.. We also got to see our music featured in some very prominent movies and soundtracks such as The Fast & The Furious, Scream 3, and American Psycho.
- EDSEL DOPE
On Dope touring with STATIC-X, Edsel states:
“Somehow, everything has all come full circle. In the early days, Dope toured with Static-X more than any other band. We played more than 200 shows together on our debut album cycles and we all became really good friends..
So many tours, so many memories.. It’s really surreal to be dong it again 20 years later..
It’s very fitting that Dope is pairing up with Static-X again to celebrate the anniversaries of both of our debut albums..”
And in discussing the passing of friend and iconic front-man WAYNE STATIC:
“It was really sad man! Dope was part of the last North American tour that Wayne did in 2014. So I had the pleasure of touring with Wayne at the very beginning of his career and also at the very end.. I’m very grateful for those experiences, but they obviously left me feeling very sad and angry, after hearing how he passed.. Addiction is incredibly unforgiving & It doesn’t discriminate.. Even still, Wayne’s passing caught us all off guard.. It was shocking and it was sad and it was totally unnecessary.. We lost an incredibly talented friend, a funny and gentle person, who contributed so much to our scene… His voice was incredible and we all mourn his passing because we love and miss the beauty that he contributed to the world… We should also view his passing as a cautionary tale, because too many good people are leaving this earth way too early.. It’s sad and it makes me angry, because it really shouldn’t have happened at all.. I’m glad that Static-X has chosen to memorialize Wayne on this tour! I think it’s an incredibly sincere way form them to pay their respects & to represent his importance and presence within the band, while they celebrate the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip.”

For fans hoping for new music from Dope, Edsel offers:
“Dope has a ton of new music recorded for the next album.. The trouble is, I’m a self diagnosed crazy person.. I just can’t seem to put the finishing stamp on things quite yet.. I’m truly sorry! I know that it drives the fans crazy, because they want to hear what I’m working on.. Believe me, It drives me crazy too.. I just have to be in the right head space, in order to commit to the completion of the audio and visual elements that go along with it.. I’m the artist, the producer, the video director, the graphic designer, the manager, and everything else in between for Dope, so it’s allot for me to come to a peaceful place with. Deep down, there is a method to the madness and I’ll get there soon enough….
Right now, I’m just excited to hit the road and party with the Dope fans around the world and to spend time with lots of old friends.. After that, we can turn the page again and focus on completing and releasing some new Dope music. These shows are gonna be insane!! Many of them are already sold out..
I can’t wait for it to begin!”
Los Angeles, CA based Metal Band AGAINST THE GRAVEhas released the official music video for their debut single, “Killing Us Slowly.” An aggressive soaked, groove dominated, riff-driven, vigorous, infectious dark track, “Killing Us Slowly” was directed, shot, and edited by Nathan Karma Cox.
“This video was a lot of fun to make, especially with Nathan Cox at the helm!! We’ve worked with him in the past & his vision & final product is always top shelf. We had a day of sun, fun, beer, cool cars & all the homies came out to hang & help any way they could. Definitely one of the most enjoyable video shoots we’ve ever done!!” – Jay Dot CA (Bassist)
Inspiration can sometimes be found, just lurking around the corner.
An unlikely alignment of solitary spirits from all around the world, brought together by none other than Metal itself. This uncanny formation culminates a fire of heavy metal power, hard rock passion, and electric force. Tuned much in the vein of metal legends Pantera, Slipknot, and Five Finger Death Punch, Against the Grave brings new damage to the heavy metal lifestyle.
“We just clicked, immediately, almost as if we had been writing together for years, the music just simply erupted.” Asserts Jordan Gaw, vocalist of Against The Grave
“Dead (repeater)” is another glimpse at the horsepower resonating from the depths of a grimy downtown Los Angeles rehearsal studio. Give it a spin, see how long you last, don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Newly ignited, just don’t be fooled, hailing from the ashes of Final Drive & *Media Solution*fame, expect a hell of a lot more out of this gang of metalheads as they rage a new path of pure will, determination and glory. Make some noise for Against the Grave.
L.A. Based Singer / Songwriter IAN ABEL has released the official music video for his single, “Shoes.”
“I wrote this song at the age of 19 with a guy out of Nashville named Mike Cullison. I’ve held onto it because I knew the world needed to hear it and now they are.” – IAN ABEL

“Shoes” was previously featured in a special pro-wrestling All Elite Wresting DOUBLE OR NOTHING vignette promoting the match between brothers CODY and DUSTIN RHODES.
Ian Abel Band, is a rock outfit made up of accomplished young musicians in Los Angeles, California. Lead singer, guitar player and primary song-writer, Ian Abel, formed the band with no purpose other than creating new and fresh music for Rock N Roll fans everywhere.
Originally from Louisville Kentucky, Ian Abel, connected with New York drummer, Kenny Schwartz, and high school friend, Westray Tackett, in Los Angeles in early 2017. Together with the help of their friend and master audio engineer, Jon Graber, they began tracking an 11 song album in 2018 at United Recording.
The first song released from that recording session, titled “Shoes”, was licensed in May of 2019 to All Elite Wresting for a promotional video for the historic fight between Cody & Dustin Rhodes at the company’s inaugural pay-per-view, Double or Nothing.
Since then, Ian Abel Band added bassist Karthik Suresh, played the world famous Troubadour and began working with legendary rock manager Rob McDermott (Mad Mac Ent.). Big guitars, big drums and even bigger hooks. That’s what the Ian Abel Band is all about.

From the very beginning, Watch Me Breathe has been all about honesty and authenticity. Lead singer Jake Aaron Ward formed the band in 2017 purely out of frustration. “As a solo artist, I just got fed up with trying to write music only to please other people. Watch Me Breathe is really an experiment that says: what would I write if nobody else was listening?”
The results of that experiment have been surprising. In the short time since the release of their debut LP, The Lighter Side of Darkness, in February 2018, Watch Me Breathe has already accrued well over 150K views on YouTube and over 50K streams on Spotify…and the numbers keep growing.
When it comes to making albums, this particular band has an unusual process not unlike that of Tame Impala or Bon Iver: Ward (a proficient multi-instrumentalist) writes, performs, records, mixes, and masters every song entirely by himself, in his own California home studio. He jokingly explains “I just kind of suck at collaborating.” He cites an eclectic range of influences, including Peter Gabriel, The Police, Imogen Heap, Goo Goo Dolls, and a whole slew of underground progressive metal bands that have helped shape his unique guitar parts and complex rhythmic patterns. In concert, the band performs as a power trio, with Ward covering guitar and lead vocals, while bassist Ryan Green and drummer/baby brother Carl Ward handle the rhythm section.
|Denver, Colorado – For any who know the long and storied history of the international rock combo MF Ruckus, change is the only constant and surprise is the only predictable. The band has finally officially announced their separation from long-time guitarist Parker Clark Meehan citing irreconcilable personal differences. Parker has been with the band since joining in 2012 following the departure of Tay Hamilton (Hot Apostles/Love Stallion) and Jerry Cass (White Fudge). Meehan toured with the band in support of The Dirty Half Dozen album as well as appearing in the DVD mini-doc by the same name. He went on to co-write the Thieves of Thunder album, contributing the musical composition for “Talk All Day (Don’t Say Shit)”, “Tastes Like Bleach” and title track “Thieves of Thunder” among others. He also wrote the music for several new tracks including the 2017 single “It’s a Mess”, which served as the soundtrack for chapter 1 in the band’s concept album and motion comic series, The Front Lines of Good Times. He also played guitar on the Kid Rock/Donald Trump parody “The Trump Boogie” which appeared on Funny or Die in 2016.|
Parker continued to tour, write and record with the band until earlier this year when he unceremoniously terminated his collaborative partnership with the band, on the precipice of releasing the bands 3rd album, The Front Lines of Good Times Vol. I. Per an agreement reached between Meehan and the band, 3 new compositions written by Meehan and recorded for the new record will be pulled from the project to be used or not for his own purposes and at his discretion.
The band does not wish to comment as to the particular details of the split, but founder and frontman Aaron Howell offered this statement on behalf of himself and bandmates Tony Lee, Ty Blosser and Logan O’Connor: “We are thoroughly grateful for Parker’s marked and significant contribution to the band over the years. During his tenure in the band he contributed several brilliant works, a slew of great shirt designs, countless riveting and professional performances as well as a lifetime of laughs and memories on the road and in the studio. The band and fans alike will miss his signature onstage intensity as well as his inventive and unique style of writing and playing. Parker truly represents a prominent era in our long musical history. We wish him success and joy in his future endeavors.”
As this news has made it’s way through various rumor mills and sewing circles of the deep musical underground, one question keeps popping up: who will take Parker’s post opposite MF Ruckus’s not-so-secret weapon, Tony Lee Wilburn aka “The Windy City Madman”? The answer: Nobody. And that’s just fine.
MF Ruckus is excited to take things in a new direction with this pared down lineup. This dramatic lineup change might be a major disruption were it not for the fact that Tony Lee possesses the strength and ability of 10 guitar players anyway. Undoubtedly, fans will miss the Thin Lizzy/Iron Maiden inspired twin guitar leads and the yin and yan on stage dynamic between Tony and Parker, but these fans can also rest assured that MF Ruckus will continue to write, tour and put on the raucous, high energy performance so often attributed to their name.
Fans can also expect to see a more expanded and varied writing approach with all four members contributing ideas, no holds barred. Additionally, the band will be “opening the vault”, re-animating classic material from the band’s early years. This will be the first time MF Ruckus have functioned as a four-piece, one guitar lineup since the late Jordan Wieleba left the band while still in it’s pupal stage under the name Forth Yeer Freshman. The members of MF Ruckus patiently roll up their sleeves and rub their hands in anticipation for the pending release of The Front Lines of Good Times Vol. I, new comics by Jake Fairly and motion comics by Macy Lytle as well as a plan to record 20 brand new songs, new episodes of their web series MF Monday and 50 new episodes of The MF Podcast in 2019, and as always, lots of shows. To summarize, MF Ruckus ain’t even close to finished, in fact, they’re just getting started.

NEAL SCHON, JOURNEY Founder, has revealed a first taste of his upcoming, solo LP, Universe, with a Birthday homage to Prince, an inspirational tribute to “Purple Rain.”
“Prince, pancakes and Journey guitar riffs at 4 am…. late eighties and I am sitting with Prince on the floor in his apartment at Paisley Park. We’ve listened to Joni Mitchell, Peter Gabriel and I notice a worn Journey Escape record in his collection. Surprised I turned to him and said “Never took you for a Journey fan”. He gave me that doe eyed look that always made me uncomfortable and said: “Neal Schon is one of my favorite guitarists on the planet, he is a genius.”
I thought it only fitting that Neal would return the respect by playing a fiery, inspired version of “Purple Rain”. Having worked for Prince for the last few years of his life, Neal’s beautiful interpretation makes the loss of the colossal talent of “P” a little less sad. They are each prodigy’s that have woven themselves into the fabric of our lives and our lives are richer as a result.”
Neal Schon founded Journey in 1972 and has been the only consistent member, having participated in every album and tour to date. Schon is a Grammy-nominated guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist who is not only the founding member of Journey, but was a member of Santana and has performed with a variety of other acts including Bad English, Jan Hammer, HSAS and has released 10 solo albums including his latest Votex. His guitar style has been described as soulful and melodic, admired by such fellow legends as Eric Clapton and Prince, who reportedly asked for Journey’s blessing to release “Purple Rain”, which echoed a similar sound to Journey’s “Faithfully”.
Journey’s worldwide sales have reached over 100 million records, making them one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time, with a wide selection of chart-topping hits like “Don’t Stop Believin'”, “Open Arms”, “Lights”, “Faithfully”, and “When You Love a Woman”, among others.
